How does ThermiTight work?
ThermiTight is a safe and simple procedure that uses radio-frequency energy and a very small probe placed beneath the skin to gently deliver heat to the troubling, targeted areas. This unique heating technique causes the skin to contract and start to produce more collagen. This prompts your body to start to replenish its falling collagen levels to help the sagging skin around your neck appear tighter, firmer and smoother.
The first step is scheduling an initial consultation with Dr. Gallo to discuss your concerns about the appearance of your neck and determine whether ThermiTight is right for you. If the procedure is recommended, you will receive further instructions for the most comfortable experience.
At the beginning of the procedure, you are given anesthesia to ensure your complete comfort. Once the anesthetic takes effect, a tiny temperature-controlled probe is placed beneath the loose skin. This probe delivers radiofrequency energy to heat the targeted tissues.
Dr. Gallo uses computer imaging to carefully guide the probe to the selected areas and monitor the temperature of your skin to ensure that the ideal amount of heat is applied to the tissues. Introducing heat into the tissues activates your body’s collagen production response to naturally create more skin-strengthening collagen, while also causing these tissues to immediately contract for tighter and smoother skin.
The procedure typically takes less than one hour, but the length of each treatment is based on the size of the treatment area. Once the procedure is complete, the probe is removed from the skin and the skin-firming results can begin to appear.
What does recovery from ThermiTight entail?
After a ThermiTight treatment, you may experience some minor swelling in the treated area or some brief discomfort where the anesthetic was administered. This is completely normal and should subside rather quickly. While some people are able resume their normal activities immediately after treatment, most choose to rest and relax for one to three days after a ThermiTight procedure.
What results can I expect from ThermiTight?
