“JUVÉDERM® VOLUX™ XC IS THE FIRST AND ONLY HYALURONIC ACID (HA) FILLER TO RECEIVE U.S. FDA APPROVAL FOR IMPROVING JAWLINE DEFINITION”
As an Allergan National Trainer, Dr. Gallo has exclusive availability of this treatment while other providers will not be offering it until 2023.
If you’re looking for a chiseled jawline, Juvéderm Volux XC Dermal Filler by Allergan may be your answer. It’s a dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid, similar to what you’d find in other Juvéderm fillers like Voluma XC, but with more structure and cohesivity and lift capacity. The main differences are that it’s firmer than Voluma XC and provides that chiseled and defined jawline people are always seeking.
Here’s what you need to know about this brand new filler treatment:
When will Juvéderm Volux XC be available?
As an Allergan Trainer, Dr. Gallo has been educated on the use of the new Volux XC filler and is now offering it to new and existing patients now. Other providers will not be able to order it until 2023 and must go through training in order to offer it to their patients.
What does Juvéderm Volux XC do?
Volux defines the jawline. It’s a dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid, similar to what you’d find in other Juvéderm fillers like Voluma XC. The main differences — besides where you’re injecting Volux — are that Volux has more structure and cohesivity and lift capacity and is a lot firmer than Voluma XC, thus providing that chiseled jawline you may be seeking.
How does Juvéderm Volux XC work?
The hyaluronic acid filler is typically injected deep onto the bone along the jawline and chin to provide more definition. The filler provides structural support and contours the face, giving it more definition. The filler also helps to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles that may have formed over time. Combined with submental liposuction, you can achieve an even more dramatic and long-lasting result. Volux XC filler alone typically lasts anywhere from 9-12 months.
What does treatment with Juvéderm Volux XC feel like?
Most patients report little to no pain during their procedure and minimal post-treatment discomfort. Prior to treatment numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area to minimize discomfort. The sensation is similar to that of a pinch, but it typically lasts only a few seconds. Many patients even report feeling nothing at all.
How do I know if Juvéderm Volux XC is right for me?
To ensure you are a good candidate for Volux XC, Dr. Gallo will perform a consultation to determine whether it is right for you. Our team will also educate you on the potential risks and benefits of this treatment so that you can make an informed decision.
Are there negative side effects with Juvéderm Volux XC?
You can expect similar side effects to those of other filler treatments, which can include tenderness, swelling, lumps, and bruising—but these will most likely subside in about two weeks. If you want to minimize any bruising, stay away from ibuprofen, fish oils, and aspirin. You’ll also want to avoid alcohol or other substances that can cause bleeding. We’ll provide you with detailed instructions and a list of foods to avoid prior to your treatment.
